Refunds

If it doesn't help you, reply to your receipt and I'll refund it. No form and no questions. I'd rather refund you than have you feel you wasted money.

Use

Buy it once, use it in your own business as often as you like. Please don't resell it, redistribute it, or hand it to an agency to use with their clients.

What you get

The Record. Your agreement, what your reports state against it, an evidence log, and questions written for you to send. Factual, and written so you can forward it to your provider.
The Assessment. A private note with my read of the Record, one of four conclusions, and what I'd do next.
A short covering note saying which document is which, what the conclusion is, and what I would do next.

Delivered within five working days of receiving everything on the list below.

What I need from you

Your proposal, contract or scope of work
Your three most recent monthly reports, or as many as exist
Your three most recent invoices
Your website address and Google Business Profile link
Any backlink report you've been sent

If the agreement or at least one report is missing I'll ask for it before starting, and the five days begin when it arrives.

What is not included

What the review can and cannot tell you

It can tell you whether the work you're paying for is documented well enough to be checked, and which parts can be confirmed from public sources.

It cannot tell you whether the strategy is right, whether technical work was implemented correctly, whether the links acquired are valuable, or whether a change in your enquiries was caused by search.

Where something is recorded as not documented, that is a statement about the documents supplied. It is not a finding that the work was not carried out.

I do not correspond with your provider

This has its own section because it matters. The review is prepared for you, and the conversation that follows is between you and your provider.

I will not contact your provider before, during or after the review.
If your provider contacts me, I'll tell them politely that the work was commissioned by you and that questions should go to you.
I don't join calls, mediate disputes, or act as an expert in any disagreement between you.
If you need someone to act in a dispute, that's a different engagement and I'll say so rather than drift into it.

Your documents

Everything you send is confidential and is not shared with anybody.
The Record is written so you can send it to your provider. Whether you do is entirely your decision.
The Assessment is for you. Please don't circulate it.
Your documents and your business are never used as an example, case study or marketing material, in any form, identified or not, unless you tell me in writing that I may.

The thing you'd want to know

I also provide SEO services. A review that finds problems could, in principle, lead to work for me. I'd rather say that at the start than have you wonder at the end. The Record is written so your provider could read it fairly, one of the four possible conclusions is that your provider is doing a good job, and it gets used.

Payment, changes and refunds on the review

Payment is taken upfront.
Change your mind before I begin and you get a full refund, no questions.
Once the documents are delivered the fee isn't refundable, because the work has been done.
If something in the Record is factually wrong, tell me and I'll correct it at no charge.
If I can't produce a useful review from what you send, I'll say so and refund you rather than pad it out.

The plain limits

This is not legal advice and it is not an audit in any regulated sense.
No outcome is guaranteed, and nothing here predicts what will happen to your rankings, traffic or enquiries.
The review is based on the documents you supply and what was publicly visible on the dates checked.
Nothing in any document I produce is a statement about the conduct, competence or intentions of any person or company.
